What is Chiropractic?

Who can benefit from chiropractic care?

The answer is simple, ANYONE.  From birth to over 100 years of age. Chiropractic is utilized to remove nervous system interference which causes stress, sickness, and pain.  All people encounter each of these at some point in their lives. 

What does a chiropractor treat?

What to expect on my first visit?

After completion of patient intake and history documentation, Dr. Walton will sit down with the patient one on one to gather as much information about the patient to best treat their specific problem or condition. Dr. Walton will conduct a thorough physical exam to find the areas in which the body has strengths and weaknesses as well as spinal subluxations or misalignments. After compilation of all patient information, Dr. Walton will create a treatment plan that is patient specific. She will then present a report of findings to educate patients on what the body is showing as well as how she plans to correct it.

Once I come in, do I have to continue coming in?

Dr. Walton’s first priority is to help her patients reach their wellness goals in a timeframe comfortable for them. Dr. Walton will recommend will the best treatment plan for each individual that will gain her patients the biggest advantage and best overall outcome. Oftentimes, patients start to learn when their bodies are not in proper alignment and want to return in seek of care. Once patients realize how good they feel under chiropractic care, they rarely want to go back to a lifestyle without it.

Do I have to get adjusted manually or is there a gentler way?

Dr. Walton utilizes a manual technique that is gentle and comfortable to patients. However, Dr. Walton has several techniques she can use to ensure similar results. With the various equipment and therapies available to her, Dr. Walton can provide relief to patients regardless of condition. If you do not wish to be adjusted in the traditional way, feel free to discuss it with Dr. Walton during your consultation and she will do her best to accommodate you.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Dr. Walton is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, as well as Medicare. However, an increasing number of people today have little or no insurance coverage for chiropractic care. Dr. Walton understands this concern and offers affordable payment options so that patients may receive the care they need. Many patients pay directly for care with cash, check and credit, as it is extremely cost-effective and affordable.
